"Turning an Heirloom" class at the Peters Valley School of Craft in Layton NJ (in the Delware Water Gap National Recreation Area).

Turning bowls, candle sticks, etc is fun. However, sooner or later they will end up in the back of a closet and then ... If you make a lamp it is something that can be passed down to future generations, long after you are gone.

Come turn an attractive modern lamp in this fun weekend workshop. You will learn all the steps needed to create a functional lamp such as long hole drilling, spindle turning for the lamp shaft and faceplate turning for the base.

At the end of this weekend you will go home with a nice lamp made by your hands.
