I am just getting started on Instagram. My plan is to post one new high quality photo of my artwork per day.

I decided to invest my time in Instagram after watching the good AAW Virtual Symposium 2020 “Turning for Profit and Marketing Through Social Media” panel discussion by Kimberly Winkle, Rebecca DeGroot, …

Note: I am ONLY going to post photos of MY ARTWORK on Instagram. I am not NOT going to post any of my tools, etc blog stuff in Instagram. You should “Subscribe” to my blog if you want to get an email when I post new stuff on my blog.

No Phone – No Problem

I have not gone over to the dark side! I DO NOT have a cell phone or smart phone. I would not be caught dead with one of those government tracking devices.

If you just want to view my photos on Instagram from your computer you can go to www.instagram.com/carlfordwoodturner

I am posting high quality photos of my artwork from my computer to Instagram via the well known “inspect” user agent backdoor in Chrome web browser. See https://www.cnet.com/how-to/this-crafty-workaround-lets-you-post-to-instagram-from-a-mac-or-pc/

BlueStacks on Computer

Updated: 11/30/2020. I am now using “BlueStacks 4” free Android emulator to post things on Instagram from my computer. Normally, I don’t like emulators. But, I like this one. It works pretty good.

With BlueStacks I can edit existing posts and create new posts with multiple photos. I could not do this thru the Chrome web browser back door.

I still prefer viewing (browsing) things on Instagram via Chrome web browser on my computer. My AdBlocker Ultimate chrome extension blocks a lot of crap. And, it just works better and faster. You can’t teach an old dog new tricks.

Note: It takes along time to download and install BlueStacks. Starting up BlueStacks can also be slow. BlueStacks is primarily used for playing games. BlueStacks recognizes and uses the sort of high end Nvidia graphs card in my notebook PC.
